Magic Leap PR Stunt


Makes me much less excited about this … as it degrades the optimistic vision initially hinted to the general public. This reverts the product to a profane first person shooter. Worse enough that google bought the company to put it in league with its PR-disaster google glass and the outlook of massiv data collection… now it repositions the „magic“ in the leap to mindless entertainment. There is no vision left in  the demo other then a higher degree of technical immersion. Microsoft at least opened the playing field with practical and potentially knowledge enhancing applications and scenarios. It tried to show the „value“ augmented reality could bring to our society.

As you can tell I am very disapointed about this video!
